Former Four-Term Guilford County District Attorney
I was elected as the Guilford County district attorney for four consecutive terms before going into private practice, the only district attorney to be re-elected since 1900. I have received an AV-Preeminent rating* for my demonstrated trial success, ethical practice and dedicated client service.
In my 30-plus years of experience, I have prosecuted more than 300 jury cases in Superior Court and personally handled 12 first-degree murder cases. As a Greensboro criminal defense lawyer, I have often won acquittals for my clients on a variety of criminal charges.
